Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does the mobility period for study or training last in the Erasmus+ programme?

Under the Erasmus+ programme, students can spend 2 to 12 months per study cycle abroad for study or training. It is also possible to combine study and training or to realise short-term or mixed mobility. Students can also participate in an individual exchange several times within one study cycle, as long as they do not exceed the maximum duration of 12 months of mobility.

2. Is it possible to study and do professional training in the same mobility?

Under the Erasmus+ programme it is possible to combine a period of study and a period of training abroad.

3. Where can students carry out their exchange for the purpose of study or training?

Destinations, countries and institutions that accept students for an exchange depend on the programme in which the students participate. The Erasmus+ programme offers opportunities for exchanges in Europe, and students can choose an institution based on their own interests, areas of study, and availability of inter-institutional agreements. IAESTE works with employers in over 85 countries worldwide, who select students for internship programmes based on their skills and preferences. CEEPUS focuses on Central and Eastern European countries and institutions working together based on signed government agreements.

4. How can students apply for an internship?

Calls for participation in the exchange programmes and available scholarships for students from their own country are announced by the University of Osijek on its website.

Potential students interested in studying or training at the Department of Biology in Osijek can contact the University of Osijek's Central Office for International Relations or the relevant contact person at the Department of Biology for information on the options and opportunities for an exchange that best suits their individual study or training needs.
