Erasmus+ General Information

Assoc. Prof. Dr.

Lidija Kalinić

Erasmus+ academic coordinator of the Department of Biology

Since its establishment in 1987, the Erasmus+ programme has steadily grown into one of the largest EU programs for student and worker cooperation and exchange. It supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe by providing funding opportunities and supporting activities related to the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda.

The current Erasmus+ programme for the period 2021-2027 focuses in particular on social inclusion, green and digital transformation, and promoting young people's participation in democratic life. Erasmus+ in higher education provides opportunities for international mobility of individuals and for international cooperation of different organizations. Individuals wishing to participate in the Erasmus+ program can apply for

  • a study period abroad,
  • professional internships abroad,
  • professional development and training,
  • volunteer work,
  • youth exchanges
  • work on international projects aimed to modernize and internationalize the fields of education, training, youth and sport

The individual application and participation in the Erasmus+ programme are arranged by the applicants' home institutions, which provide all the information. General information is also available at https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/hr
